Route NUMBERS and email notifications
Please can the email notifications about review, surveys, etc include the proper title of the route which is used all across the site.i.e. AroUte *ONE*.
This evening I've seen: Tx for Review - gives a route name and number; Tx for Survey - just the name. And emails earlier this week: Tx for yr Route, Comment on yr Route and Comment on yr Review. None show the route number although one has the Route ID/5 digit number. Frankly that ID is no use at all to the target audience of these emails it just makes them less comprehensible.
The additional text of each email type also differs. Like other helpful links, use of “here” to highlight a(n otherwise invisible but actually present and useful!!) link. Ditto for the messages that pop up on the site after adding routes, reviewing, commenting, etc, etc. including that multi choice post-submission survey.
And sorry to be a moaning Minnie but emails etc still promise that “you will be notified if someone replies to your comment”. This is not true uness you wrote the review. The other commenter never get notified and if they (me!) await (not unreasonably) for notification of a reply then it appears as if they are ignoring it. I've redrawn several problem routes with detailed help from local reviewers using the comments, I want their help, not to p*** them off. E.g. https://beta.slowways.org/Route/Bissta/4085 (Vic was v nice though).
If it's tricky couldn't both the site and email messages simply stop promising that it happens in the meantime.
Also repeating my similar wish for route number to appear in download GPX filenames please.

Hi Daisy,
Thanks for all our feedback about the emails. I've noticed the “here” link too.
Completely agree that the reference to comments in the automated emails is misleading. It's on my list to fix. I'll also see if we can standardise the language on the various emails to give the name and number of the route reviewed e.g. Redpen one.
Renaming the gpx files is a bit trickier but I'll check in with my tech colleague to see what's possible. Plus seeing if email reminders for someones commented on your comment are possible.
Best wishes,

Noticed that the online form when you complete the survey also doesn't display the route number. I can imagine myself filling it out on the way home, tired after a long day, and inadvertently starting from the wrong route, showing the number would be a failsafe.

I'll happily ask if that's possible. Do you mean if it's Salkin one, two, three or the code that's given to each route e.g. 5293? Just checking so I ask the right thing.

Hi. I mean the Salkin one, two, three number. I think it's at the top of the third or fourth page.

Hi,
Thanks for confirming. I'll see if that's possible and let you know.
Best wishes,

I've just seen another place where the 5 digit ID number shows up where users would expect to see the route (version) number - at the top of the Accessibility Photo Survey page. E.g. https://beta.slowways.org/PhotoSurvey/Grebla/10040/8b6b61b1-6f52-4f64-8b03-b69e612f334a The route version number isn't shown on the webpage, although you are asked to include it in the text attached to the first photo. Obviously you must have arrived via the route's own page, but if you were comparing two or more to see which is more achievable this could make it harder to keep track.
