Tilbury to Stanford le Hope - New Route not Place
These two places aren't linked by a Slow Way, you have to go via Chadwell St Mary, but there is room for an extra triangle to link them because the Thames blocks off all the links to the south. Although the angle on the map is very acute, and it may appear to be repetitive I think it' would be a good addition because of the geography and much less repetitive than tightly paired Slow Way routes I've walked.
Tilbury to C St M involves some busy roads (Tilbury container port - so HGV traffic ). And I'm looking at C St M to S le Hope now, it'll probably involve some no-verge fast lanes and large ploughed fields where the signs are that farmers don't ever reinstate paths. The creation of new rights of way for the England Coastal Path means there is an off road road alternative that's (probably) well maintained and signposted.

Hi Daisy,
Great news, there is a Tilsta and it uses the England Coastal Path. Think it's maybe not showing on Journey Planner yet but it is there. Although definitely needs checking as I'd heard some of the sea wall path along there had been damaged. Checking the England Coastal Path didn't flag up the issue though.
I think the same as you on the Chadwell St Mary - Stanford-le-Hope route. Having walked them (a while ago when they were used by the landfill lorries), I know the roads between Linford and SLH have virtually no verge, not sure about Linford to CSM though. Not sure the container port traffic will use them much, unless as a diversion, but the traffic that does use them won't be slow. I know that maybe doesn't help with a solution, one that definitely needs checking. I don't think there are footpath alternatives though, as I'd probably have taken them with glee.
Best wishes,

Hello and Happy New Year Cristie!
That's such great news. And instant gratification too! I look forward to walking it. I saw something yesterday, hidden somewhere on the ECP site, about an inland diversion via E Tilbury for Environment Agency works but also a note on the Thurrock PRoW site saying a path which is part of the sme diversion is closed, implying it's for the same reason. <Shakes head> Supposed to be competed by March.
I walked TilCha and ChaSta yesterday. And, of course ;-), you're absolutely right about the traffic, fast, fairly busy but no HGVs. Only one bit turned out to be unavoidable. Friendly too, waves thanking me for climbing up verge to let them pass easily. Not sure how friendly they would have been if no verge though.
ChaSta was problematic, putting it mildly. Some of it was really lovely though. Uploading new version soon which is walkable.

Happy New Year Daisy
I quite enjoyed being able to say that it's there :).
Thanks for your detective work on the path diversion. It will be a super route once whatever needs fixing is fixed. Lots of lovely views of the Thames and walking through the new(ish) nature reserve.
Glad you have a new Chasta, thank you. Once it's uploaded let me know if you think Chasta one is problematic enough that it would be worth removing it? Sounds as though it is but you might have reasons for thinking it has potential e.g. if the paths were maintained a bit better.
Best wishes,

Best leave 2, I think. But please delete ReiRed 2 if possible. It's a slightly baffling duplicate.
And thank you for creating (and advocating for?) a delightful new walk!

Thanks, I'll leave both.
Agree with you on Reired two so I've taken it from the network. There was also a flag around accuracy linked with a two star review which made it an easy decision.
You're welcome, yep, probably advocating, it's a nice walk.
