West Highland Way gpx Sprint
Would you like to help out with a gpx sprint? It's seven Slow Ways that either do or could go along the West Highland Way.
The Google sheet of instructions and routes is here. The ask is to either check a gpx file or to create a new one. You'll see more instructions there in the Information Tab and you can sign up on The Routes tab for the route(s) you'd like to look at.
This is being shared in a few places so the Google Sheet is probably the best place to communicate in.
All help would be gratefully received. We've got someone who has very recently walked the WHW and can add reviews and images, they just need the routes to review :). This isn't something we'd try to do for all routes but in this case where there is a lot of overlap and in a remote region it makes real sense.
Best wishes,
Cristie

Hi Cristie,
I've done Rowardennan-Drymen, as ‘Rowdry two’.
Please have a look and check before I have a go at some more.
Kind regards,
Phil

…and Fort William - Kinlochleven, as' Forkin two'.

Concerning Bridge of Orchy - Tyndrum, I had a look at the gpx for the existing route (Brityn one) in Outdooractive and it seemed OK as far as alignment to WHW is concerned. It just has a couple of tiny fidelity issues at junctions. I can't see the value in creating a new route.

Hi Philip,
Thank you so much for all your efforts. They're really appreciated. Sorry for not replying sooner, I was away last week.
I'm getting Hannah to check all your comments on the different sections to see if there's anything else needed.
Best wishes,

Hi Cristie,
No problem. It was another fun mini-project.
Just for completeness: here's a summary of my notes on the three routes that you thought already followed the WHW and just needed checking.
Invrow one - Not sure - Invrow one is mostly aligned to the WHW, but there is a section between Rowchoish and Creag Iolaire where the SW route gpx takes an alternative higher level loop, not on the alignment of the official WHW gpx (though it is shown on Outdooractive mapping as an alternative WHW alignment).
Invcri one - Agreed - Invcri one is (mostly) aligned to the WHW, but there are a few minor deviations from the official gpx. Noted also that the SW gpx is plotted E-W instead of W-E.
Kilnbri one - Agreed - Kilnbri one is aligned well to the WHW, with no deviations from the official gpx. Noted the fidelity of the SW gpx is not great but has seemed fine to the reviewers.
Let me know if you need any of these to be re-plotted.
Kind regards,
Phil

Hi Phil,
Thanks so much, you're a star.
I'll share this with Hannah to get her take and get back to you. Might not be until next week, hope that's ok.
Best wishes,

Hi Phil,
If you've enthusiasm for it, please could you plot and upload another version of Invrow that matches WHW between Rowchoish and Creag Iolaire? Then we should be able to get that section reviewed by people who have done it recently.
Huge thanks from Hannah as well as myself by the way.
Best wishes,

Hi Cristie and Hannah,
