Alternative routes that need preplanning e.g. to pay for a permit
There are some potentially nice routes that would not be possible spontaneously but would with pre-planning (permits or membership are needed). Could also be shorter distances sometimes. Examples I have come across are Wytham Woods near Oxford https://www.wythamwoods.ox.ac.uk/permit and Kempton Nature Reserve https://corporate.thameswater.co.uk/about-us/community/great-days-out/recreational-sites/kempton-nature-reserve. Is it worth having a category for this sort of alternative route? (In terms of inclusivity, these permits do not necessarily cost money).

Similarly, routes that become available at certain times. E.g. a route across military land that can be closed due to training.
There needs to be some way to have such routes, but make it really obvious that you need to look at some other resource, e.g. booking a permit (in your case), or checking the MOD website (in mine)
Such a route should *never* be ‘route one’ on any given link…. Maybe named ‘AbcXyz Special One’ or something.0
