Can we survey our own routes?

I’m after some guidance about whether a route author should survey and/or review their own route.  

For example, I’ve just uploaded a new route, (Aldwit two) in order to try to overcome some of the problems with the original (Aldwit one).   Is it best that I don’t review or survey my own route?

  My understanding is that it's fine. A survey certainly as you know the route well. A review? Why not. It takes multiple positive reviews to validate a route.
