Which is the Slow Ways route?
I’m considering reviewing a suggested route which I know mainly uses paths and winding country roads. I also know there are pavements alongside the main roads from A to B, a route, maybe 30% shorter in length. The former is the more idyllic, the latter more practical. I get that in a perfect world there would be a bucolic footpath running alongside the shorter route and that’s clearly what I would be surveying if available. But in this instance, with a binary choice between long, pretty & impractical or shorter, dull but useful, which fits with the Slow Ways philosophy?

Hi Robert, thanks very much for asking.
To be honest - it would be great to have both options! We can then A-B test which of those two routes is more popular both in the reviews and downloads. That would also give people options, as some people may actually want to just be direct.
Otherwise, on balance, we'd prefer to be direct.
Hope that helps?
