Making the RPT points more useful

Using the GPX function in Google Earth Pro, I can see all the RPT points on a route all listed. This makes it incredibly easy to point out where barriers or obstacles are (stiles, gates, footbridges, pedestrian crossing, NSL signs, etc) or to load photos against such points. Is there not a way to make that more useful for uploading information somehow during the route. Or also if you are suggesting an alternative to the route, calling out these RPT references is a good way to explain the change.
