New Route - Salisbury to Andover
Having read the comments on the Otley to Sun Inn post, I can see why Salisbury to Andover does not currently appear as a route, but this doesn't make a lot of sense on the ground.
Sections of the Portway Roman Road still exist for a large chunk of this route, offering a fairly direct route between the two. Instead, the slow ways take walkers via Amesbury or Kings Somborne, which are much less direct.
I think this could be achieved by adding Grateley as a meeting point. It's not a large place, but it does have a station and would allow for routes AMEGRA, SALGRA, GRAAND, GRAKIN.
The location of MOD land in the area is such that the current AMEKIN and AMEAND go right past Grateley station anyway and possible alternative options are going to be a bit limited.
As a trade off, and in the same area, Bulford camp seems an unnecessary meeting point. AMEBUL is only 3 miles long because the two areas are virtually side by side. That means that UPAAME and UPABUL are following approx 9 miles of practically the same route because the triangle is so narrow.

Indeed. Perhaps this is getting a bit ambitious but... Grateley station also means that a (long, maybe 30-35km) ROMGRA route could be offered, branching off from SALROM one at Dunbridge station. Grateley to Romsey is quite a way for one day, but Grateley to Dunbridge Station is definitely doable, and worth walking particularly in the summer months (I've done it).
