How do I know if it’s OK for wheels?

My understanding is that Slow Ways are not aimed at cyclists and that 'wheels' in a Slow Ways context means buggies, scooters and/or wheelchairs.

So it becomes even more important to highlight whether it is suitable for wheels. A cyclist can carry a bike, but that hardly works for a wheelchair.

I have surveyed a route using a bike, it is quicker but not by much. You do need to keep an eye on the walking route, so you need to cycle slowly. Where cycling is not allowed you can get off and push, and this really gives a good idea of how a wheelchair might behave (not so much tiny buggy wheels) as at times the bike will be hard to push or need lifting over obstacles. There are slow ways that coincide with streets, sustrans or cycling routes so there is a place for reviewing routes this way but always with a 'walking hat on'
