Reporting problems with Pathwatch app whilst surveying
Just a little tip to pass on in case useful for people when you are out surveying or reviewing routes. I downloaded the Pathwatch iOS app to my phone. It’s produced by the Ramblers. See here for detail https://www.ramblers.org.uk/advice/pathwatch-report-path-features-and-problems.aspx
To my surprise the app is super easy to use. Whilst on the walk I encountered a number of broken wooden footbridges on rights of way, and broken right of way signs, and rights of way that had been ploughed over. As well as noting down these problems for my Slow Ways survey, I was able to instantly report these issues using the Pathwatch app. It’s just a few clicks and taking a photo and bingo. Ramblers then collate all these reports and send them to the relevant local authorities. It took me seconds to do but seems like a worthwhile use of my time on the walk, alongside the Slow Ways survey or review.

Thanks Flora, thats a great shout - and available on Android too. On some of my walks I've also come across things like flytipping - and 'Fix-my-street' is also another similar app designed to raise issues with council highways departments as well.
