Leaving comments without rating a route
It is not possible to leave a comment on a route without giving it a star rating. So for example I have only walked a small section of Griswa and it is on a very dangerous country road. I would like to leave a comment "The road section between Gayton and Gayton Thorpe is dangerous for walkers - I did it once and never again. A much better route for Slowways would be on the footpath west of Springfield south to common lane and east to GT. Nice walk, quiet, safe, pretty but not in your best shoes if its raining." but I am not competent to give a rating to the full route. How about allowing comments without a rating?

Sofa and David are 100% right Sarah.
Sorry you've had that experience. This kind of feedback is exactly how we make a better network!
If you walk a route and it's not safe please:
- Give it low stars
- Review it as either not being good enough for the network or, if you are not sure, "maybe"
- Report the route on the route page, so others can see the issue and we can potentially remove it on safety grounds
- If you can, design and upload a better route!
Thanks,
- Dan

Seems to me that if that road sufficiently 'breaks' the route then so long as you are clear on what you walked, the review would be a valuable one.
If even a lovely remaining walk would not mitigate a serious flaw then the review is unfavourable to the current route.

If any section of walk makes you feel unsafe you need to review it and report it to the Slow Ways team. Don't worry that you didn't walk the rest of it

Thanks for the feedback. I have added the comment with one star and a 'maybe'. If I was local I would walk and create a new route but I'm too far away.
