I surveyed an urban Slowway which had several kerbs to negotiate but no flights of steps.

The access grading for this is unclear:

Y:  Stile, step, barrier and obstacle free. Should be accessible to all wheelchairs and scooters.

Z: Stile and obstacle free, but includes at least one flight of steps

Neither fit.

  I assumed that if there were dropped kerbs available to cross the streets (even if it involved a minor detour, ie they were visible) then this meant they could get the step free category. Otherwise I’m not sure anything would qualify!

  Hi David, Thanks for your email on this too. We're going to be adding a category to cover this. 

  S: Stile and obstacle free, but includes at least one kerb or step.
