Adding annotations to photos submitted with reviews
Its good to be able to submit up to 15 photos with the review. The feature works well for me. However, it would be useful to be able to annotate the photo to say where on the route it was taken.

I added comments to my review of Sanlon One https://beta.slowways.org/Route/Sanlon/4965#reviews but that was a bit long winded.

Hi Lynn, your commented photos look just the ticket, but I can't see how to do it on the Slow Ways review page. Did you add the comments to your images first, then upload them to the Slow Ways review already annotated?

I used a desktop app called Snagit to copy and paste the comments onto the photos, saved them and then uploaded them into the review.

Thanks to Bostal Boy for initiating this topic and thanks to Lynn for the information about adding text to photos in reviews - I was interested in the different things you’ve done with photos in your reviews (such as Sanlon, Belder and Ashwir). I’m thinking of trying to do something similar if you’re happy for others to use your ideas.
I’ve had a look at Paint 3D (supplied in Windows 10) and it seems OK for adding a block of text and also graphics to a photo. I use Microsoft Publisher and that might do the job too. Thanks for showing what’s possible.
