Dolgarrog
Several nearby SlowWays routes pass through, or very close to, here as they go from Llanwrst towards the north and northwest. The geography and availability of paths plus the remoteness of the mountains to the west forcing them to come to here and or Tal-y-bont, a short distance north up the Conwy valley.
Adding it would simplify and clarify the local network, and make planning longer routes much more straightforward for walkers. Routes could be snapped in two, with the ends of some tweaked, perhaps even the route to Llanwrst consolidated into just the best looking one.
There is at least one cafe and a shop and importantly a train station and a footbridge to it which crosses the Conwy river. Plus a hotel just past that station.
Further I suggest adding routes from Dolgarrog to the east, perhaps Llanfair Talhaiarn, Colwyn Bay and Gwytherin, which would significantly improve connectivity because there are currently no routes up the eastern side of the Conwy valley or through those "foothill" villages, although it is a fairly well populated area with several tourist destinations. The footbridge would make that possible and topologically efficient, which is why I am suggesting Dolgarrog over the slightly more picturesque Tal-y-bont, which I can report does or did have a v lovely pub!
