Accommodation < £50

So now is the time of year when I start to look at overnight stays for more distant routes, and I’m sad to say that I have so far failed to find accommodation for less than £50. Those places where there were rooms for this price have now gone - £70-75 pn seems to be the going rate even for non-tourist spots.

I’m not sure if I’m looking in the right places; I’ve tried booking.com and breadandbreakfast .co.uk.

Does anyone know of better sites to find even £50 - £60 pn accommodation?

  Answering my own question, I’ve found that AirBnB offers rooms for under £50 per night (pn), so I’ll use them.
