I’m having exactly the same problem.  I get “Error 500”.  Incidentally I managed for one route, but not for another.   I wasn’t adding photos.

I’d also love to be able to both save and edit my own surveys.  This would be really useful.  I’m in the process of walking the routes in my area but have had to do them in bits - so saving surveys...

I don’t unfortunately.   If anyone else reading this does have, please could you let us know.

I completely agree with this Peter.  Like you, I’ve uploaded a new route but I’ve since seen a better way, and I don’t want to clog up the map with multiple routes for one section.
