Problem loading photos on review
I submitted a review to Bramai one, submitting (or at least I thought I had) 42 accompanying photos. But it's only loaded one.

The review page invites you to attach photos (plural) is this is a glitch and how can I fix it please as my review notes reference the photos.
Thanks.

Also I tried to upload a new route, though that had a similar photo upload box that looks like it only accepts 1 photo. Loading a GPX file crashed the page with an 'Error 500' message.

Yes I found the when recoding a review only one photo can be selected. I initially uploaded the wrong photo the was able to replace it by uploading it as a second.

I found multiple photos are best loaded as a photo survey, under surveys.

Good tip @Ross. I guess there's a level of 'trial and error' going on.

Now that I know how to do it (and the limitations) does anyone know how I delete my review so that I can re-enter it correctly?

Hi Sofa Jockey. I've already apologised for the lack of photo options elsewhere on the forum.
We're thinking of not allowing very large numbers of photos to help keep quality higher. If people submit a survey they CAN submit an unlimited number of photos within the "photo survey".
On the review page - how many photos do you think we should allow?

If multiple people review you want a small number that are representative of the route. My gut is four. (three isn't quite enough. Five would make so many after a few reviews)

I came here to say the same thing, it would be nice if it either said "Photo" or listed how many were allowed.

I’m having problems with photos. Every time I submit a photo - whether for a review, a survey, or when I upload a new route - my photo gets flipped 90 degrees. Therefore all my photos look dreadful as they flipped round. I have taken loads of photos on my Slow Ways walks thus far, and I’m keen to add Photo Surveys and to add photos to my reviews. But right now I’ve stopped trying to do this because there’s no point in having all these tipped over images.
I have tried opting for lower resolutions and using a different browser. That hasn’t made any difference.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Hi Flora, I haven't often uploaded photos to a website, but I've had similar "sideways" problems when inserting photos into Word documents. One thing you could perhaps try if you use Windows 10 is the Snip and Sketch app within it - it works for me with the photos going into the Word documents. I bring the photo up on the laptop screen, rotate it if necessary, then use Snip and Sketch to make a "snip" of the picture, and then save that snip as a .jpg file (which is the default). That .jpg file is the one that goes into the document.
I don't know if there is much difference in the picture quality between the original and the snip. There might be as in one case I just tried the snip was a tenth of the original file size - 237KB instead of 2,335KB - but my eyes couldn't pick up any real difference in image quality between them. It's a bit tedious to do of course, especially for lots of photos, so maybe someone has a simpler answer!.
